Velociraptor mongoliensis was the first dromaeosaur dinosaur to be named and made famous by the book and movie Jurassic Park (though the Velociraptors in the movie were about three times to big). Found in Mongolia in 1922 the skeleton was descibed by Henry Fairfield Osborn, one of the great paleontologists of the 20th Century.
